What is my operating system?

Find the START button on your computer desktop

  • Click Start or press the WINDOWS key on your keyboard
  • Depending on your operating system the next step may be slightly differnet...
  • Click CONTROL PANEL, (if you have the sub-menu, then click SYSTEM
  • If not sub-menu, then control panel opens...
  • If you see categories instead of the icons, click SWITCH TO CLASSIC VIEW
  • Now open SYSTEM
  • This screen will tell you your operating system version, service pack level and whether you have a 32-bit or 64-bit operating system.
